Top Navigation and Maps Apps in Central America Q4 2024

In the fourth quarter of 2024, the top navigation and maps applications in Central America demonstrated varying trends in weekly downloads and active users. This analysis, based on data from Sensor Tower, offers insights into the performance of these popular apps.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic experienced a notable increase in weekly downloads, peaking at approximately 153K in mid-December. Active users fluctuated throughout the quarter, starting at 7.1M and ending with a slight decrease to 6.6M.

Google Maps Go saw a consistent user base with weekly active users reaching nearly 60M in early December. Downloads peaked at 140K in late October, before stabilizing around the 100K mark towards the end of the year.

Camera Location: Geotag Photos showed a dynamic download pattern, culminating in a high of 74K in mid-November. Active users increased steadily, reaching approximately 57K by the end of December.

Google Earth maintained a stable download rate, with numbers fluctuating between 24K and 39K. Active users similarly varied, starting at 507K and ending the quarter at 464K.

Offline Maps, GPS, Speedometer faced a decline in downloads, which started at 37K in early October and dipped to around 20K towards the year's end. Active users mirrored this trend, despite a brief spike to 36K in late December.
